For many families in Germany, Christmas is a time of happiness each year, but for some it is unfortunately also a burden. With children they would like to buy presents for and families wishing for a carefree time, meeting every expectation can become too expensive for some families.
That is why we donate to Tafel every year. Tafel is a German charitable organization that works with volunteers and helps families in need put food on the table throughout the year. It collects good-quality food that would otherwise be thrown away and distributes it free of charge or for a nominal amount to socially and economically disadvantaged people.

Tafel reduces food waste and helps up to 2 million people in Germany every year, one third of them children, by working with food retailers and suppliers to reduce food waste as much as possible. But this is not possible without help from all of us.
The Tafel organizations depend on generous donations from all of us. They receive no public funding and must cover their own transport, storage and administration costs.
Without donations, there would be no Tafel organizations. Let us help them help others.
