Survival of the Fittest in Weimar!

The next step is within reach: Using company data for AI assistants and jtel bot solutions.

At the VAF Technology Conference in Weimar, we will be discussing the evolution of infrastructure and, once again, AI with strong partners. The availability of container technology is a huge opportunity for system house partners, but also harbors pitfalls.

These aspects were discussed in detail in the topic area ‘Virtualisation & containerisation of VoIP / UCC infrastructure’. Today, the jtel system is predominantly installed in distributed VMware environments – both on-premise and in the cloud. However, the trend is clearly towards containerisation, also from the point of view of system availability and security.

We were able to discuss our experiences with colleagues on site. jtel was mentioned in the presentation by infrastructure expert Florian Wolf (wolfnetz.com) as an example of an advanced software stack. Amazing: depending on the expected call volume, infrastructure can be started up and shut down locally via containers in order to save resources. Independent of SIP trunks. A huge step towards cost savings.

And of course it was once again about AI. Here, too, it became clear that evolution is progressing rapidly. In the presentation by AI guru Verena Weber entitled “From AI to conversational AI”, the basics were first explained.

Generative AI impresses in terms of multimedia with the creation of texts, images, music and much more. However, the focus is on conversational AI, which enables machines to hold human-like conversations.

A chamber of horrors or a huge opportunity for customer service? It’s up to us. The truth probably lies in the middle. Large language models, neural networks, the RAG approach (Retrieval Augmented Generation) – all of this is waiting to be utilised and put into practice. Building up expertise is therefore necessary now – especially for solution providers and integrators. The next step is within reach: Utilisation of company data for AI assistants and jtel bot solutions.
